10. LEGO Ideas 21310 Old Fishing Store - £139.99

RRP £139.99 | $149.99 | €149.99

With a healthy selection of printed tiles (and a handful of stickers), the 2049 piece LEGO Fishing Store is one of the most aesthetically pleasing LEGO Ideas builds to date. Released in September 2017, the set comes with 4 minifigures (captain, fisherman, fisherwoman and a child) and features a shop and lookout tower. Delightful and deliberate imperfections, like the askew sand green ‘board’ tiles complete the build and give it a heap of character.

Harkening back to the classic LEGO Castle-themed sets of the 1980s, the 2164 piece, LEGO Ideas Medieval Blacksmith was released in February 2021. The build is split over three levels and includes a bedroom, kitchen and workshop. A 4-colour, pentagonal-tiled roof, completes the build and can be removed to access the build’s interior. Not to be overlooked are the 4 included minifigures (2 Black Falcon Knights, a Blacksmith and Huntress).

Accepting the challenge and not wanting to disappoint, Leandro Tayag, the original fan designer and LEGO included this feature in the 2321 piece set design.

RRP £179.99 | $199.99 | €199.99

Functioning as a display or play set, the LEGO Pirates of Barracuda Bay was released in April 2020 (to the joy of many fans of the 1990s LEGO Pirates theme). RRP £214.99 | $249.99 | €249.99

As part of their ongoing push towards environment sustainability, the treehouse featured LEGO’s first large-scale use of plant-based plastics (used for the plant and leaf elements of the set). The leaves can also be interchanged so you can opt for a green, summery look or a more autumnal yellow and brown.
