You need to be 18 or over and be a UK resident to sign up to LEGO Insiders in the UK.

Yes, LEGO Insiders is completely free. The card is free, the membership is free, the points earning is free, redeeming is free. It’s free!

Physical vs Digital LEGO Insiders Cards

When you sign up to LEGO Insiders, you won’t be sent a physical Insiders card. But, you can get a digital LEGO Insiders card. Here’s how:

Go to LEGO.com on mobile > Go to Account (Yellow Minifigure Head Icon) > Sign in > My Account > Get a Digital Insiders Card > Add

This will help make your wallet that little bit lighter.

If you don't have either when you’re in store, just quote your email to the store associate and they’ll find your account.

Earning LEGO Insiders Points - How They're Calculated

Pennies are rounded up to the nearest pound.

£5 40 Insiders Points
£10 80 Insiders Points

You can earn 65 extra points by completing a few surveys and social media activities. For example, you can check out their Facebook page, worth 5 Insiders points.

You won’t get points for buying a LEGO gift card (but you will earn points when you spend with your gift card).

Can I Earn LEGO Insiders Points At LEGOLAND Or Other Stores

You can either earn nor redeem LEGO Insiders points at LEGOLAND (eg. LEGOLAND Windsor). Similarly, you won't be able to earn or spend LEGO Insiders points on the value of the purchase when you buy LEGO from other stores (online or brick and mortar).

However, you can still earn a flat 20 LEGO Insiders points for each set that you buy. Here’s how.

Scan Instruction Manual QR Code To Earn 20 LEGO Insiders Points

No matter where you get your LEGO, you can earn 20 LEGO Insiders points by scanning the QR code insider the instruction manual. That’s on top of any Insiders points earned when you buy from LEGO directly (online or in-store).

When Are Insiders Points Added To Your Account?

Points should be added immediately, as soon as payment is complete. Bear in mind that for online orders, payment isn’t taken until the product is shipped so your points won’t be added until then. It’s best to wait 24 hours until you go to check for the added points.

Can You Claim LEGO Points From A Receipt?

Yes, you should be able to claim points retroactively from a receipt or past purchase but only if you were a member of LEGO or LEGO Insiders at the time. Just contact customer support (chat or phone is best).

How To Check Your LEGO Insiders Point Balance

You can check your LEGO Insiders point balance online or via the digital card in your smartphone wallet.

  • Check Your Insiders Point Balance Online - LEGO Home Page > Sign in > Account Overview

  • Check Your Insiders Point Balance Via Smartphone Wallet - LEGO Home Page > Insiders Rewards Centre > Get Digital Insiders Card

Can You Transfer LEGO Insiders Points To Somebody Else?

No, you can’t transfer LEGO Insiders points to another person’s account. However, if you redeem points for a voucher code, you can give that to somebody else to use.

How To Redeem LEGO Insiders Points

Head to LEGO Insiders Rewards. You can’t put LEGO Insiders points directly towards a purchase online or in-store, you have to redeem them for a reward. However, you can redeem points for discount vouchers in store without having to redeem them online first.

There are a variety of Insiders Rewards and a lot of them tend to be time or item-limited. Just go to Rewards on your account to find out what rewards are available. Here are some of the rewards on offer:

  • LEGO vouchers (£5 - £100) - The same voucher can be redeemed at LEGO.com or in-store

  • Insiders Exclusive Rewards - Lego sets, desktop wallpapers, sketchbooks, print collectables, colouring sheets

  • LEGO Artwork - Artwork and patent designs from LEGO history

  • LEGOLAND tickets - North America, Europe, Asia and Dubai

  • LEGOLAND Discovery Tickets - North America, Europe, Asia and Dubai

  • LEGO House Ticket - Billund, Denmark

Can You Stack Multiple LEGO Insiders Discount Vouchers?

Yes, at checkout you can stack as many LEGO Insiders Discount Vouchers as you like.

When you redeem LEGO Insiders points for one or multiple vouchers, you’ll get codes that you enter at checkout. Online, just enter your Insiders discount codes one at a time under ‘Enter a Promo Code’ then hit apply.

How Much Are LEGO Insiders Points Worth?

One LEGO Insiders point is worth between 0.625 pence and 1.2 pence per point.

Since you normally get 8 Insiders points per £1 spent, you’ll get between 5p and 9.6p in Insiders Point value for every £1 spent.

Insiders points range in value depending on how they’re redeemed. See the table below for example rewards:

Insiders Points Insiders Redemption Reward Value Point Value (Pence)
2700 LEGO World of Wonders Set £12.99 0.48p
2,100 Birthday Diorama £10.99 0.52p
800 £5 LEGO Voucher £5 0.625p
3,200 £20 LEGO Voucher £20 0.625p
8,000 £50 LEGO Voucher £50 0.625p
16,000 £100 LEGO Voucher £100 0.625p
4,000 LEGOLAND Day Ticket (Europe) £29 - £40 0.725p - 1p

It’s important to note that aside from LEGO Vouchers, a lot of these items are limited offerings.

Insiders Exclusive Collectibles (eg. LEGO Castle Logo Collectable Coin, 1964 Metal Keyring, 1958 Retro LEGO Keyring) aren’t guaranteed to return if they sell out.

Since there are a variety of rewards, the point values vary. A £5 LEGO voucher, for example, costs 800 points. That’s a LEGO Insiders point value of 0.625p. It’s difficult to value a lot of the rewards since a lot of them are digital (eg. digital wallpapers - 10 points) and don’t have a monetary value.

The LEGOLAND tickets vary in terms of point value because the Insiders point cost stays the same (4000 points) but the tickets are all priced differently across Europe. For example, a day ticket at LEGOLAND Windsor costs £29, meaning you’re getting 0.725p per point. A day ticket at LEGOLAND Billund costs 359 DKK (about £40), meaning you’re getting around 1p per point.

LEGO Insiders Points Value Calculator

Enter your LEGO Insiders Point total in the calculator below to work out the value of your LEGO Insiders Points. This is the value you’ll get if you redeem your LEGO Insiders points for LEGO vouchers (0.625p/Point). You can boost the value of your points (up to 1.2p/Point) if you redeem your Insiders points for specific, time-limited Insiders Rewards.

Do LEGO Insiders Points or Vouchers Expire?

How long do LEGO Insiders points last? LEGO Insiders points expire after 18 months but every time you earn or redeem Insiders points, that timer resets.

When you redeem LEGO Insiders points for LEGO Discount Vouchers, you only have 60 days to use them. You can usually get points refunded by talking to LEGO Customer Service but I’d still only recommend redeeming points when you have a purchase in mind.

You should get notified 3 months before any points expire but LEGO deem you responsible for your points.

Are LEGO Insiders Points Worth It?

Since you normally earn 8 LEGO Insiders points per £1 spent and since you can redeem your points at a value of 0.625p-1.2p per point, you’ll get back between 5p and 19p for every £1 spent at LEGO. A 19% return is definitely not a bad saving.

Remember to get your bonus 20 LEGO Insiders points by scanning the QR code inside the set instruction manual (no matter where you buy your LEGO from).

Even though LEGO House tickets, LEGOLAND tickets or specific item redemptions usually offer better value, redeeming Insiders points for LEGO vouchers grants you a lot of flexibility. You can redeem your points at any time of year and you’ll get a direct saving on your future LEGO spending.

Remember that you can boost your savings too. Use a cashback or points-earning debit or credit card, like the American Express MR card (referral: boosted 6,000 MR sign-up bonus) and you’ll get more value for money.
