Although Disney sets had been previously released under Duplo, Toy Story and Disney Princess themes, the LEGO Disney theme only came on to the scene in 2016. With a number of LEGO fan-favourite releases since then, both LEGO and Disney fans are excited to see what the partnership holds going forward.

10. LEGO Disney 43172 Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace - £64.99

RRP £64.99 | $79.99 | €69.99

The 701 piece LEGO 43172 Elsa’s Magical Ice Palace is actually a re-release of the January 2017 41148 set. Released in August 2019 this play-focused set features revolving stairs, a kitchen, music area, bedroom and balcony. Anna and Elsa mini-dolls are included, as well as a minifig head-topped brick-built Olaf.

The LEGO Cinderella’s Dream Castle was released in January 2018. With 585 pieces, this play-focused build features a modular design. You can re-arrange the rooms into multiple configurations or combine the set with other LEGO Disney products. Included are 2 mini-dolls (Cinderella and Prince Charming), a foal and 2 mouse figures.

The 505 piece LEGO Belle and Beast’s Castle was released in June 2021. The build features a rotating ballroom dance floor, horse with cart and transformation closet. Mini-dolls for this set include 2 versions of Belle and Beast. A red rose dressed and blue dressed Belle are separate mini-dolls and Beast can be transformed into Price Adam by removing the Beast head piece. Buildable or utensil versions of Cogsworth, Lumiere, Chip and Mrs Potts are also include.

Released alongside the film, the March 2021 LEGO Raya and the Heart Palace set includes 610 pieces. Similar in style to Cinderella’s and Belle/Beasts Castle, this build includes a revolving bedroom tower, 2 mini-dolls (Raya with Conical Hat and Namaari), a separate Tuk Tuk and Lavender Fox.

The build faithfully depicts the movie version with a grand hall, throne room and balcony and stands at 65cm high. If you’re short on Trans-Light Blue LEGO parts, this set’s the one for you. The mini-dolls were all new designs for this set and include Anna, Elsa, Coronation Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf.

One of, if not the most iconic LEGO Disney set. The October 2016-released, 4080 piece LEGO Disney Castle is modelled after the Cinderella castle in Disney World, Florida. Packed with details from classic Disney movies, like Sleeping Beauty’s spinning wheel and the magic mirror from Snow White, the build also comes with 5 minifigures (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Tinker Bell). Each minifigure design is an exclusive, with the exception of the Donald minifigure.
