How Do You Earn Nandos Chilli Points?

First, download the Nandos app. You’ll get 1 free Nandos Chilli point just for downloading. This is where you’ll track your Nandos rewards.

Once you’ve signed up, go to the Rewards tab and scroll down. You’ll see a button prompting you to add your Nando’s card to your smartphone wallet (e.g. Apple Wallet). You can scan this card at the checkout to earn points. Alternatively, you can request a physical Nandos card or give the cashier your card number (found at the bottom of the Rewards tab).

How Many Nandos Chilli Points Do You Earn When Purchasing?

You earn 1 Nandos Chilli point every day you spend £7 or more in a UK Nandos (or €7 in the Republic of Ireland). Nandos gift cards and online order fees don’t count towards the £7 minimum.

If you order a Nandos for delivery or collection you can still earn Chilli points. But only if you order directly from the Nandos website. You won’t get any if you order via Deliveroo or Just Eat, for example.

It can don’t see your points in your account immediately, don’t worry. Chillies can take up to 48 hours to appear in your account.

How To Redeem Nandos Chilli Point Rewards

To redeem your Nandos points, just scan your Nandos card (digital or physical) at the till or show the cashier your Nandos App Rewards screen with your card number at the bottom. This means you can redeem your Nandos rewards without your physical loyalty card.

Rewards are banked once you reach 3, 6 and 10 Chillies. After 10, you’ll loop back to 1 again and you’ll keep any previously banked Green, Orange and Red rewards. There’s no reason to hold on to a reward. It doesn’t reset the counter once redeemed. There’s no limit to how many rewards you can earn and on each Nando’s visit you’ll just keep looping around, earning more Chillies.

  • Green Reward: 3 Chillies - 1/4 Chicken or any Fire Starter (excluding Altogether Now or Roulette)

  • Orange Reward: 6 Chillies - 1/2 Chicken or any single wrap/burger/pitta (excluding steak, chicken thighs, chicken wings, chicken butterfly, butterfly burger or sunset burger)

  • Red Reward: 10 Chillies - Whole Chicken or any single combo meal with up to 2 regular sides (excluding steak products and double chicken burger/pitta/wrap combo meal)

Best And Worst Nandos Rewards Redemptions

You now might be wondering, how can you get the best value for your Nandos Chilli points?

The table below shows how much value you’re getting for your Chilli points when you redeem them for different rewards. Pay attention to the ‘Chilli Value’ column on the right hand side. I’ve worked out the value by taking into account the cost of the item on the menu and the number of Chillies required after the previous reward to earn that reward.

Since Rewards are banked and redemptions don’t reset the counter, Orange and Red Reward Chilli values are worked out by dividing the Item Cost by the number of Chillies needed after the previous reward.

Green
Olives/Nuts £3.70 £1.23

Red

Single Combo Meal With 2 Regular Sides £9.95 - £10.45 £2.49 - £2.61

Best Nandos Green Reward

A Fire Starter or 1/4 chicken (£1.36 Chilli Value each) is the best Nandos Green Reward in terms of value.

Best Nandos Orange Reward

A 1/2 Chicken is the best value Nandos Orange Reward (£2.53 Chilli Value)

Best Nandos Red Reward

A Whole Chicken is the best Nandos Red Reward in terms of value (£3.38)

Remember, all Green, Orange and Red rewards are banked for 1 year once earned. Red Rewards offer the best Chilli value but you’ll need to visit Nando’s 10 times (£7 min spend each time) to earn a Red Reward in the first place.

Of course, I’d recommend food preference over value. I’d recommend redeeming your Nando’s Rewards for your food preference since the value and quantity of food doesn’t differ that much within each Reward tier.

How To Check When Nandos Rewards Expire

Nandos Rewards expire 366 days after you’ve banked them. You can check reward expiry dates through the Nandos app or the Nandos website. Just scroll down to the Rewards and Activity section. Any rewards you have will have a ‘use by’ date published next to it.
