The Ultimate Guide To House of Fraser Recognition Rewards

The House of Fraser rewards programme, ‘Recognition’, sees you earning points which are auto-converted into gift vouchers. From collecting points, to recognition offers and more, here’s everything you need to know.

How To Join House of Fraser Recognition Rewards

Head to the Recognition Sign Up Page and register (you can also register on the House of Fraser app). You must be a UK or ROI citizen, aged 18+ to register. Make sure you opt in to ‘Recognition Points and Rewards’ when you sign up.

Through your online account, you’ll be able to view your card/card number, report a lost/stolen or damaged card, view points and view your points redemption history.

Recognition Rewards Card VS Recognition MasterCard

Before moving on to collecting and redeeming points, it’s important to mention that there are two types of Recognition Cards. The Recognition Rewards Card (which is still available) and the Recognition MasterCard (which is no longer available to new sign ups).

House of Fraser Recognition Rewards Card and MasterCard

The Rewards Card is the simple House of Fraser loyalty card which anyone can use to earn and redeem points in-store and online. The MasterCard is the store credit card which is no longer available. You can still use the MasterCard, if you have it, to earn and redeem points at a better rate. I’ll go into the details further down this article.

Earning House of Fraser Recognition Points

You collect House of Fraser Recognition points however you pay, whether it’s cash, debit or credit card, in-store at the till, via the app or online. Just bear in mind it can take up to 24 hours for points to display on your account and if you get a refund, any points earned are deducted when you get your money back.

You also collect points at a different rate if you’re using a standard Recognition Rewards vs a Recognition MasterCard (the latter is closed to new registrations). You also earn bonus points during your birthday month:

  • Recognition Rewards Card - 1 Point Per £1 Spent in House of Fraser

  • Recognition MasterCard/Account Card - 3 Points Per £1 Spent in House of Fraser (1 Point Per £2 Spent Elsewhere)

  • Birthday Month - 1 Extra Point Per £1 Spent in House of Fraser

You Don’t Earn Points On…

Gift Vouchers, Gift Cards, Financial Services and Large Kitchen Appliances.

What If You’ve Forgotten Your Recognition Card?

You can use the House of Fraser app if you don’t have your card with you. Alternatively, you can use a till receipt to add points up to 30 days after your purchase date. Just make sure to bring your reward card with you or show the in-app barcode at the till to collect any missed points.

What’s The Points Rate In The Republic of Ireland?

You earn 1 Point Per €1 Spent in the Republic of Ireland. Online purchases (from the UK website) will be converted from GBP to EUR and you’ll be rewarded based on the Euro amount spent.

Value of House of Fraser Recognition Points

House of Fraser Recognition Points are valued at 1p per point

Since you normally earn 1 point per £1 spent, you’re basically getting 1% back in point value.

What about redeeming your House of Fraser Recognition Points? You actually don’t have to do anything. Your points will be auto-converted into vouchers every month, as long as you’ve reached the 500 point minimum. An important point here is that you can’t manually redeem your points, you have to wait until points are auto-redeemed.

For every 500 points earned, you get £5 in vouchers. The vouchers are valid for 3 months after you receive them and can be used in conjunction with some, but not all, Recognition offers (eg. Double Points).

This works slightly differently if you’re using the MasterCard. In this case, you’ll earn a £20 voucher for every 2000 points earned, so the minimum threshold is 4 times higher. Rewards are also sent out quarterly in the case of the MasterCard, rather than monthly.

Yes, points do expire. Points that aren’t converted into vouchers can be carried forward a maximum of 12 months. Any points not converted after those 12 months will expire.

This is the case whether you’re using the standard Rewards card or the MasterCard.
