The Ultimate Guide To Beefeater Rewards

With Beefeater Rewards, you can earn points and redeem them for vouchers towards your next Beefeater meal. In my ultimate guide, I’ll look at earning points, redeeming points to get the best value as well as some of the other benefits and FAQs.

Beefeater Rewards Club

How Do You Get A Beefeater Rewards Card?

You can get a physical Beefeater Rewards Card on your next visit to Beefeater. Just ask before you pay the bill. There isn’t an app and there is no digital card.

You must be at least 18 years old to join. You can then activate the card by going to the Reward Club section of the Beefeater Grill Website.

Pro Tip: Add in ‘Your Celebration’ (eg. birthday, anniversary etc.) when you sign up and you’ll get treats which you can use on those dates (more on this below)

Good news is, you’ll get a 300 point bonus just for activating the card.

Earning Beefeater Points

You’ll collect 5 points per whole £1 spent in Beefeater. A £100 spend will therefore get you 500 points. For points-earning purposes, the value will be based on your total bill, minus discounts, vouchers and gratuities.

Just present your card when you get your bill and your points will be added to your account. They can take up to 48 hours to appear so don’t worry if you don’t see them immediately. All points are collected on one card, even if you’re splitting the bill. You can collect points on your Premier Inn Beefeater visits too.

There is also no maximum to the number of Beefeater points you can collect.

Can I use My Beefeater Card In Whitbread Establishments?

Whitbread, who own Beefeater, also own a number of other large hotel and restaurant brands in the UK. Premier Inn, Brewers Fayre, Thyme and Table Table included.

You cannot collect Beefeater Rewards in these locations. It’s specifically for Beefeater customers.

How To Claim Beefeater Points From A Receipt

At the discretion of customer support, you can get points from previous transactions, but there’s a limited time period and you must have the receipt. You also have to wait 72 hours to contact support and the transaction must have occurred within the last 14 days.

Sadly, this is quite a convoluted system. You’re advised to contact customer support by phone (0333 234 1452 - charged at local rate) but you can always try talking to staff in the Beefeater you visited if it’s more convenient.

How To Redeem Beefeater Points

You redeem your points for vouchers through the Beefeater Rewards Club website. These vouchers can then be used in any participating Beefeater Restaurant but you can only use vouchers for purchases that include a meal (not drinks only).

Points are redeemed in increments of 500 and you have 4 options to choose from. All 4 of these options cost 500 points:

  • £5 Money-off Voucher

  • Free Bottle of Wine

  • 2 Free Desserts

  • 2 Free Starters

You can choose between displaying the voucher on your device (eg. on your phone, tablet etc.) or getting the voucher emailed to you (ie. to print off if you like).

Do Beefeater Vouchers Expire?

Yes, vouchers will expire. They must be used within 6 weeks (unless stated otherwise) so in most cases, it’s best to wait until you’re about to use them.

Beefeater Rewards Value Calculator

Enter your Beefeater Reward Points total in the calculator below and it will work out the value of your rewards. This is based on an efficient 3p/Point redemption value. Just be aware that your points may be worth less than this depending on how you use them. See best and worst Beefeater redemptions below.

Best and Worst Beefeater Redemptions

Beefeater points range in value between around 1p per point and 3p per point.

The worst redemption (see table below) is usually the Money-off Voucher. The voucher’s worth £5, putting the point value at 1p per point.

2nd last on the list is the free bottle of wine. It’s unclear what wine you will be offered too. It will usually be the house wine but it’s dependent on the restaurant. According to most reports, the wine will be valued somewhere between £10 and £12, meaning in point value you’re looking at between 2p and 2.4p per point.

Getting 2 free desserts is likely the 2nd best option on the list since this voucher is valued between £9 and £14 (1.8p-2.8p per point).

The best redemption you can make will usually be for 2 free starters. These are valued at £12-£15, putting the point value between 2.4p and 3p per point.

Points Beefeater Reward Cost Point Value

500
Voucher £5.00 1p
*Free Bottle of Wine £10 - £12 2p - 2.4p
2 Free Desserts £9 - £14 1.8p - 2.8p
2 Free Starters £12 - £15 2.4p - 3p

To earn 500 points, you usually have to spend £100. The 500 points will translate into a £5-£15 saving meaning they can effectively reduce the price of your Beefeater bill by 5%-15% going forward.

Birthday And Other Vouchers

If you registered your date of birth when you signed up to Beefeater Rewards, you’ll be offered a treat on your birthday. This might be something like a free main meal (£8-£22 value) when you buy at least one other main meal.

You’ll also be given special promotions throughout the year, like this 40% off main meals voucher from December 2019.

Do Beefeater Points Expire?

Yes, beefeater points expire 12 months on from their collection date. The card will also expire (and all points will become invalid) if it’s been inactive for 12 months.

Bonus points have expiries too. You might earn bonus points through promotions and they’ll have their own expiry dates attached. These might be shorter timescales too (eg. 90 days).
