30 Valuable LEGO Harry Potter Minifigures You Might Actually Own

LEGO Harry Potter launched in parallel with the release of the movies back in 2001. Since then, hundreds of Harry Potter minifigure designs have been released. Whilst most don’t hold a lot of monetary value, you might find some hidden gems amongst your own personal collection.

So, here’s my list of 30 valuable LEGO Harry Potter minifigures that you might actually own. All of the minifigures below were sold in sets or promos released to the general public.

30. Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) - £11 / $14

The 2005 Graveyard Duel set, small but highly sought after by collectors, came with 6 minifigs. The Lucius Malfoy Death Eater and Voldemort minifigs also feature further down this list. This iteration of Wormtail is made particularly creepy by the half-human-half-rat face design.

29. Viktor Krum - £12 / $15

Whilst not as valuable as the Shark-head Viktor Krum minifigure from the Rescue From The Merpeople Set, this human-only version of Viktor Krum is still highly collectible. The set it was released as a standard version with a Professor Karkaroff minifig but there was also a US Target-exclusive version with 4 other minifigs.

28. Merperson - £13 / $16

A unique minifigure featuring a long dark green tail piece, this Merperson minifig was released in the 2005 Rescue From The Merpeople Set. A small, 154 part set with 5 minifigs including the valuable Viktor Drum and Harry Potter (tournament version).

27. Ravenclaw Quidditch Mannequin - £13 / $16

Much more valuable than the Hufflepuff Mannequin from the same set, this Ravenclaw Quidditch Mannequin uses white legs, a black head piece and dark blue Ravenclaw Quidditch Robe torso.

26. Percival Graves - £13 / $16

One of the few Fantastic Beasts characters on this list, this Percival Graves minifigure was released in the first wave of Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures. The complete minifig set comes with a tan wand, black tile stand and alternate white hair part. This price estimate is based on the minifig without those extra parts.

25. Gilderoy Lockhart - £14 / $17

The 5475 part Diagon Alley set came with a whopping 17 minifigures. This valuable Gilderoy Lockhart minifig comes with a cloth cape (lavender on one side, orange on the other).

24. Evil Skeleton - £14 / $17

Featured in some of the small but sought after Graveyard Duel sets from 2005, the Evil Skeleton is likely valuable due to it’s rarity and the fact most LEGO skeletons are made with white parts. Other minifigs featured in this set are also valuable (Voldemort, Peter Pettigrew etc.)

23. Peter Pettigrew - £14 / $17

LEGO started issuing flesh colours, rather than the standard yellow, in 2004. As a result, minifigures, like this Peter Pettigrew from the Shrieking Shack set, became more sought after.

22. Salazar Slytherin - £14 / $17

Featured in the large, 5976 part Hogwarts Castle set from 2018. The set came with all 4 Hogwarts Founder minifigures plus 24 micro figs depicting various characters.

21. Fred/George Weasley - £14 / $17

The 2011 Diagon Alley set came with a whopping 12 minifigures including this dual-sided Fred/George in dark orange pinstripe suit.

20. Helga Hufflepuff - £15 / $19

The 2018 Hogwarts Castle set included each of the 4 Hogwarts House founders. Helga Hufflepuff features a medium-nougat skirt piece, reddish-brown braided hair and a dark brown cloth cloak.

19. Professor Igor Karkaroff - £15 / $19

This Igor Karkaroff minifigure includes a Mongolian hat and mouton collar design on the torso. Whilst the normal Durmstrang set came with 2 minifigures, including Igor, a Target-exclusive version came with 6.

18. Rowena Ravenclaw - £16 / $20

Another Hogwarts House founder from the 2018 Hogwarts Castle set. The Rowena Ravenclaw minifigure features a dark blue skirt piece and silver ‘Ravenclaw Diadem’ design on the headpiece.

17. Harry Potter (Tournament) - £16 / $20

This Tournament version of Harry Potter featured in the small Rescue From The Merpeople set, based on the scene from The Goblet of Fire. The minifig isn’t complete without the detachable orange flippers.

16. Godric Gryffindor - £16 / $20

This Godric Gryffindor minifigure, also from the 2018 Hogwarts Castle set, comes with separate beard and hair pieces as well as a dark brown cloth cape.

15. Gilderoy Lockhart - £16 / $20

This Gilderoy Lockhart minifigure, released in the 2002 Chamber of Secrets set, comes in an extremely rare sand-red with gold detailing.

Bellatrix Lestrange Minifigure HP092

14. Bellatrix Lestrange - £18 / $22

The older 2010 Burrow set included a more detailed Bellatrix Lestrange minifigure than the 2020 version. The 2010 Bellatrix includes print on the skirt piece that the 2020 Bellatrix lacks.

13. Death Eater (Lucius Malfoy) - £18 / $22

Not to be confused with the slightly less valuable dark gray-caped minifigure variant from different production cycles of the same set. You can get 2 completely different looks by removing the cape and swivelling the head piece to the non-masked side.

12. Professor Minerva McGonagall (Gold) - £18 / $22

One of three valuable minifigures from the 2021 Hogwarts Icons set. The other two were gold versions of Rubeus Hagrid and Albus Dumbledore.

11. Albus Dumbledore - £19 / $24

This 2004 Albus Dumbledore minifigure shares the same print as the original yellow version. However, being that this was the first flesh-toned Dumbledore from an expensive Hogwarts Castle set, it’s now a rare collector’s item.

10. Albus Dumbledore (Gold) - £20 / $25

This all-gold Dumbledore minifigure was released in the 2021 Hogwarts Icons set with Gold Hagrid and Gold Professor McGonagall.

9. Professor Mad-Eye Moody - £22 / $27

From the 2005 Horntail set, this was the first Mad-Eye in minifigure form. It would be 13 years before a second version was released (as a collectible minifigure) but this holds value as the original.

8. Rubeus Hagrid (Gold) - £24 / $30

Featured in the highly coveted (2995 piece) Hogwarts Icons set along with Gold Dumbeldore and McGonagall minifigures.

7. Shark Head Viktor Krum - £28 / $35

A fun design, this rare Viktor Krum minifigure comes with an exclusive sand blue shark head part and was featured in the 2005 Rescue From The Merpeople set.

6. Garrick Ollivander - £29 / $36

This Ollivander minifigure was the 2nd LEGO version of the character ever released. What makes it so collectible? You could only get it from the Diagon Alley micro build set. A gift-with-purchase set that was sold with qualifying purchases over the 2018 Christmas period.

5. Professor Sybill Trelawney - £33 / $41

Although the 2018 collectible Trelawney minifigure offers a better resemblance to the film character, this 2004 version was an exclusive to the expensive 2nd Edition Hogwarts Castle.

4. Professor Severus Snape - £34 / $42

With exclusive face printing, you could only get this minifigure in the 2007 3rd edition Hogwarts Castle set. Due to its age and pricey set exclusivity, it’s the most valuable Snape minifigure you’ll find.

3. Werewolf Remus Lupin - £43 / $54

From the hard-to-find 2004 Shrieking Shack set, this quirky minifigure features a dark-bluish gray werewolf head piece. Remove the wolf head and you’ll see a scarred Lupin head print underneath.

Professor Dolores Umbridge Minifigure HP080

2. Professor Dolores Umbridge - £49 / $61

An exclusive to the 3rd edition Hogwarts Castle set, this minifigure features a rare curled hair piece, gold cat brooch and, unlike later versions, a less-than-welcoming facial expression.

1. Voldemort - £52 / $65

There were actually 4 versions of this glow in the dark Voldemort minifigure released over the span of the set’s production. 2 had opaque heads with black detailing (like the one pictured), the other 2 had transparent heads with red detailing. The cape (light/dark gray) was the other difference. All have a similar value.
