The Ultimate Guide To Harvey Nichols Rewards

Harvey Nichols Rewards sees you earning points, increasing levels and earning benefits along the way. Here’s my ultimate guide to the whole loyalty program.

Bottom line, both Harvey Nichols regulars and infrequent shoppers can benefit from the loyalty programme thanks to the points and level rewards but shopping around is likely to save you more - Andrew Young (Capital Matters Editor)

How To Join Harvey Nichols Rewards

Head to the Harvey Nichols Sign Up Page to register. You must be aged 16+ to join and the loyalty programme is free to join and use.

International Customers: You can join Harvey Nichols Rewards but you can only earn and redeem points in UK stores or when you shop from Harvey Nichols UK.

There are two aspects to HN Rewards. Points and Levels. Points are earned at a rate of 1 to 5 points/£1 spent depending on your level and they can be converted into cash rewards at a rate of 1p/point. Levels are based on your spending and both unlock new benefits and increase the total number of benefits you can choose.

Let’s look at them both separately.

Harvey Nichols Points

You earn 1 to 5 points/£1 spent in-store depending on your level (Level 1 to 5), in-store, online or in a Harvey Nichols Bar or Restaurant.

Points are redeemable at a rate of 1p/point so 1000 HN points would grant you £10 to spend in store or online. That means you’re effectively getting 1% - 5% back on your shop in the form of a Harvey Nichols voucher depending on your level.

There’s no physical card, only a virtual one which you can find in the app. Alternatively, just share your email address and membership ID at the in-store checkout to get your points added to your account. When shopping online, just make sure you’re signed in.

If you don’t have your phone on you, or it runs out of battery, you can get a receipt from the cashier and add points manually through the app.

If you return an item, the points you earned will be deducted from your balance.

Harvey Nichols Levels

There are 5 Harvey Nichols Rewards levels. Your level is based on your spend. Once you reach a higher level, you can select an additional benefit. You’ll remain on your earned level until at least the 31st of December that year. On January 1st, the following day, you’ll be assigned a new level based on last years spend.

  • Level 1 - £0-£499 Spend - Choose 1 Benefit + 1 Point/£1 Spent

  • Level 2 - £500-£1,999 Spend - Choose 2 Benefits + 2 Points/£1 Spent

  • Level 3 - £2,000-£4,999 Spend - Choose 3 Benefits + 3 Points/£1 Spent

  • Level 4 - £5,000-£9,999 Spend - Choose 4 Benefits + 4 Points/£1 Spent

  • Level 5 - £10,000 Spend - Choose 5 Benefits + 5 Points/£1 Spent

Do Harvey Nichols Points or Levels Expire?

Both points and levels can expire. Points are reset on the 31st of December if there’s been no activity on your account for 12 months. Expired points can’t be used for cash rewards.

In terms of levels, your level will be downgraded on January 1st if you failed to reach the minimum spend in the previous calendar year.

Is Harvey Nichols Rewards Worth It?

If you’re an infrequent Harvey Nichols shopper, you might as well join as you’re effectively getting 1% back via Harvey Nichols points and you can select a benefit with no minimum spend requirement (eg. Free Drink or 10% Off Selected Bars & Restaurants).

If you’re a frequent Harvey Nichols shopper and you reach a higher level, you’ll earn more points per £1 spent (up to 5 points/£1 at Level 5) which means the cashback rate increases. You’ll also unlock more exclusive rewards at higher levels.
