How To Change Contactless Card Limits At Each Bank

Wanting to change your contactless card limit or turn off contactless completely? A number of banks now offer one or both of these options. Use this guide to figure out the options with your bank(s).

If your bank doesn’t offer this feature (or you want to slim down your wallet), I would recommend mobile payment options like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Since mobile payment options offer biometric security (eg. facial or fingerprint recognition), you’re effectively getting the contactless and security benefits at the same time. Although some retailers and/or card providers may impose their own mobile payment limits.
